Through the Years

  • The Beginning

    Bill Cockram, the grandfather of Managing Director Angus Cockram, opens a used vehicle sale yard in his home on Dacre Street. (Pictured: Employee Joe Malcolm showing first promotional vehicle).

  • 1948

    After selliing his Dacre Street home, Bill Cockram opens Christchurch's first outdoor used car display, on the corner of Moorhouse and Colombo Streets.

  • 1950's

    During the 1950's, Cockram Car Sales become official agents for Mercedes, Porsche, Goliath, Hansa, and Lloyd.

  • 1962

    Cockram Car Sales is refurbished and becomes official agents for Nissan-Datsun.
