Euromarque is excited to announce the arrival of the global electric giant, BYD Auto into their Central Christchurch showroom.

BYD Auto will be the first All-Electric brand for Euromarque, joining their European vehicle range of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Maserati and Renault.

Euromarque Sales Manager, Miles Cockram is thrilled to represent the brand in the upper South Island.

“The electric market is changing rapidly and I can see BYD Auto having a real impact here in New Zealand,” he said.

“Electric Vehicles are currently out of reach for so many New Zealanders, so it will be good to offer a well-priced, well-styled product to the market.

“The Atto 3 will appeal to a broad range of customers and it’s great to see the government continuing their support with the clean car rebate of $8,625 for Battery Electric Vehicles”.

BYD Auto is the automotive subsidiary of BYD Co Ltd, a multinational, high-tech company recognised as the largest producer of New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in the world, with a product portfolio incorporating electric and plug-in hybrid cars, buses, trucks, sky-rail, forklifts and cutting-edge rechargeable battery production.

The first of the competitively priced vehicles BYD Auto will introduce is the all-electric ATTO 3 which is now open for pre-sales with stock due to arrive Q3 this year.

The mid-sized crossover SUV ATTO 3 will include two versions, with cruising ranges of 320kms and 420kms respectively, according to WLTP condition.

In 2023, two new BEV models will join the line-up with a further two models – a mix of battery electric and plug-in hybrid electrics – to launch in 2024.

In total, five different models will hit the local market from 2022 to 2025, ensuring a comprehensive offering in each segment.
