Alfa Romeo 4C Spider
Entering an Alfa Romeo 4C means entering the world of motorsport. To start with, the unique body cell is made from bare carbon fibre. Inside, competition seats guarantee a comfortable but correct racing posture. The seats incorporate a reinforced composite structure and special lightweight padding. The dashboard is made from a thermoformed shell like those found on limited edition supercars and the controls are all oriented towards the driver to give complete control of the car. The instrument panel graphics are inspired by those of competition cars. Aluminium pedals and heel guards form the last details of a true sporting character.
The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is built with the same materials you’ll find in a Formula 1 car. The 4C Spider’s unique alloy wheels are milled from just one piece of aluminium. And finally, SMC, an innovative low-density composite material is used for the outer body. The result is 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and onto a top speed of over 258km/h.
The 4C's 1750 cc turbocharged power plant is based on state-of-the-art engine technology. 4 cylinders, an aluminium block, a new generation turbocharger, ultra-high pressure direct fuel injection, two continuously variable valve timing units, scavenging technology and a dual clutch enable this 1750 cc unit to deliver unprecedented sporting performance. The Alfa Romeo 4C reaches 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and develops a top speed of 258 km/h. Despite this ballistic performance, the emissions of the Alfa Romeo 4C fall well within the strict limits of Euro 6.
HANDCRAFTED IN ITALY
In keeping with its supercar heritage, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is made in the Maserati plant in Modena. At the end of the assembly stage, every Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is checked and double-checked to ensure the highest levels of craftsmanship and precision have been maintained. It is then handed over to our expert test drivers for dynamic performance testing under a wide range of conditions. It’s then ready to be driven. Over to you.
At the front, the Alfa Romeo 4C features a double wishbone configuration and at the rear, an advanced MacPherson suspension. This ensures superb road holding and driving fun, even in the most extreme maneuvers. The braking system is designed for high performance race track use. The cross-drilled, self-ventilated front discs and Brembo calipers stop the car from 100 to 0 km/h in only 36 metres. And to ensure maximum grip and prevent skidding under all conditions, the 4C is fitted with different diameter tyres with the larger size on the rear for the best possible handling.
